Troopers find crashed Jeep abandoned on Chena Pump Road in Ester
Alaska State Troopers found a crashed Jeep Compass abandoned and blocking Chena Pump Road in Ester at about 2:15 am Saturday, Oct. 10. Footprints led away from the vehicle.
Troopers responded to a collision report at the intersection of Chena Pump Road and Chena Small Tracts Road. The Jeep carried Alaska plate LKZ110. No driver has been named. D Detachment is investigating, according to the trooper dispatch.
The intersection is the site of a state roundabout project. Alaska News previously covered a September crash near Chena Ridge Road in Ester, where troopers later identified a driver who knocked down a street light and left without reporting it.
