State Department adds $1.73 million in orders for Anchorage's Koniag Professional Services

Koniag Professional Services, LLC of Anchorage has been awarded $1,731,311 by the U.S. Department of State under three orders against a blanket purchase agreement it already holds, federal spending records show. The largest, $1,137,839 for comprehensive administrative and reception support, runs through Sept. 20, 2027; the other two cover privacy analyst support for the inspector general ($288,250) and policy support services ($305,222). Each runs one year, starting Sept. 21, Sept. 25 and Sept. 28. No money has been paid out against any of them.

The firm, based at 3800 Centerpoint Drive in Anchorage, is an Alaska Native Corporation-owned business certified under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program for disadvantaged-owned firms and as a Small Disadvantaged Business.

The State Department work is a small part of its federal business. Koniag holds a $36.7 million Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency contract for physical security support, and a $21 million General Services Administration award signed Sept. 8.
