Seward asks residents for ideas on waterfront and wayfinding plans at Oct. 27 open house
The City of Seward is asking residents for ideas on two plans for its waterfront and downtown at a public open house Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 pm at the Seward Community Library. People can stop by anytime.
The Wayfinding Plan focuses on pedestrian connections between the small boat harbor, the cruise ship terminal and historic downtown. The Waterfront Plan addresses the future of the waterfront and harbor area. Both deal with navigation, congestion and how residents and visitors move around, according to the city manager's latest report to the City Council.
Community Development and the Harbormaster's Office are organizing the open house together. Consultant Corvus Design will be in town to discuss the harbor area master plan.
