Seward state park advisory board takes public comment at Sept. 16 meeting

The Seward State Park Citizen Advisory Board will hear public comment on state park management Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the AVTEC Culinary Academy, 809 Third Avenue. The meeting is hybrid. In-person attendees should use the east entrance and take the elevator or stairs to the third floor. The public can also join virtually through Microsoft Teams.

The notice invites public participation but does not list a specific topic or land-management decision on the agenda.

Alaska State Parks citizen advisory boards assist park staff on management issues and give the public a forum on regional outdoor recreation policy. As background, the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation reviews park management plans at least once every 10 years, preferably every five, and contacts advisory boards, local communities, interest groups and the public for input during those reviews. The notice does not say whether such a review is on this meeting's agenda.
