The LCV Victory Fund gave $255,000 to The Alaska Center IE on Oct. 7, according to a state disclosure report filed Thursday. That accounts for about two-thirds of the $388,666 the Anchorage group has raised this cycle. Without that contribution, the group's total would be about $134,000.

The report shows the group backing three House candidates: Rep. Ky Holland, a nonpartisan candidate running against Republican John Boyle in House District 9; Rep. Denny Wells, a Democrat facing Republican Mia Costello in House District 15; and Democrat Danni Hall, who is challenging Republican Rep. Julie Coulombe in House District 11.

The Washington, D.C.-based fund is listed as the true source of the money. NOTUS has reported that the fund plans to spend at least $50 million on the 2026 midterms nationally.

Seventeen other donors gave about $2,000 combined, in gifts from $20 to $1,000. Most listed themselves as retirees from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Haines, Soldotna and Kenai. One gave from Modesto, California.

The group reported about $15,700 in spending. A Washington, D.C., firm was paid for direct mail supporting Holland and Wells, and an Anchorage printer produced door-knocking literature for Holland and Hall. The group also owes The Alaska Center $4,500 for staff time supporting several candidates, along with legal, compliance, fundraising and data costs. Its September report showed about $27,900 spent on mailers for 10 legislative candidates.

Alex Petkanas, the group's political director, filed the report.

Under state law, print and video ads from an outside-funded entity, generally a group that gets most of its money from outside Alaska, must say that "a majority of contributions" to the group "came from outside the State of Alaska."

The general election is Nov. 3.
