Man found dead with upper-body injuries on East 8th Avenue in Anchorage
Anchorage police found a man dead with injuries to his upper body early Wednesday in the 3900 block of East 8th Avenue. No one has been arrested.
Officers responded at about 12:41 a.m. on Aug. 26, according to an Anchorage Police Department release, case 26-22519. The Major Crime Scene Investigation Team was called in to investigate further.
The department is withholding the man's identity until next-of-kin notification is complete.
The account comes entirely from a department release, and no other party is represented in it. The release does not give a cause of death, does not say who called police or when, and does not say whether anyone is being sought.
Anyone with information who has not already spoken to police is asked to call dispatch at 3-1-1.
