Koniag shareholders to meet in Anchorage with three board seats up
Shareholders of Koniag, the Alaska Native regional corporation for the Kodiak region, are scheduled to meet Saturday, Oct. 3, to elect directors to three board seats at the corporation's 2026 annual meeting. The meeting will be held on the third floor of the Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center in downtown Anchorage.
Shareholders who cannot make the trip can watch from home. Koniag plans to stream the meeting through its My Koniag portal at mykoniag.koniag.com, according to the corporation's meeting notice. Shareholders who cannot sign in can call the help line at 800-658-3818 or email [email protected].
Doors open and registration begins at 8:30 am Alaska time at 600 W. Seventh Ave. An Alutiiq dance performance is set for 9 am. The formal meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am.
The meeting is in Anchorage this year. Last year's was held in Seattle on Oct. 4, 2025, where Koniag reported raising its annual dividend to $33 per share.
Koniag scheduled nine town halls on Kodiak Island and in Seattle, Portland and Soldotna so shareholders could question board candidates. High winds canceled the first two, in Akhiok and Old Harbor.
Proxy voting, in which shareholders cast their votes in advance by assigning them to a representative, closed for the three seats Sept. 30 at 5 pm Alaska time.
