Kenai Peninsula Plat Committee to hear Nikiski, Anchor Point subdivisions Sept. 28

Kenai Peninsula Borough residents near Diamond Street in Nikiski and Stikine Street in Anchor Point have until 1 p.m. the last business day before Sept. 28 to file written comment on two subdivision plats up for review that day.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough Plat Committee will hear the applications at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at the Betty J. Glick Assembly Chambers in Soldotna.

In Nikiski, the committee will consider the Garnet Subdivision 2026 Addition, proposed by Johnson Surveying for Hawker, covering lots on Diamond Street, Gemstone Street and Dempsey Woods Way.

In Anchor Point, the committee will consider the Stapel Subdivision, proposed by Peninsula Surveying for Stapel, on Stikine Street, Thunder Road and Tlingit Avenue.

Petitioners get 10 minutes to present their applications. Public testimony is limited to five minutes per person.

Residents who disagree with the committee's decision can ask the Kenai Peninsula Borough Planning Commission to review it within 10 days of written notice.
