The Kachemak Bay State Park Citizen Advisory Board meets Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center Seminar Room in Homer, according to a state public notice.

The meeting is hybrid. Residents can attend in person or join online through Microsoft Teams.

The board is a public forum for sharing information and for collecting opinions and recommendations on Alaska State Park units within the Kachemak Bay watershed. It makes recommendations but does not make decisions. It currently has 13 public members.

Members of the public can email written comments before the meeting, with "Kachemak Bay State Park Citizen Advisory Board" in the subject line. Those comments are forwarded to board members for consideration, the notice says.

The board usually meets the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, at the Alaska State Parks district office in Homer. Recordings and minutes of past meetings are posted in a state archive.

In March, the board's chair told the state House Resources Committee that the board fully supported a bill to simplify and modernize the laws for critical habitat areas, including Kachemak Bay, and to update their boundary lines. He said the board had discussed personal watercraft extensively.
