A Fairbanks firm runs Boston's Moakley Courthouse under a $31.6 million agreement

KCORP Technology Services Inc. of Fairbanks runs the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse in Boston. The General Services Administration awarded it the building's complete facilities maintenance and management agreement in June 2022, worth up to $31,580,013, under full and open competition as a total small business set-aside, against five offers.

A Fairbanks contractor will install a water filling station on the ninth floor of the courthouse under a $43,111 order that begins Wednesday and runs through March 1, 2028. A second order, worth $11,457, covers an emergency air conditioning motor replacement at the John Joseph Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston. It took effect Aug. 27 and runs through Sept. 30, 2027. Both were competed under the agreement's fair opportunity rules.

Both award records list the same parent vehicle, 47PB0022A0002. That is the courthouse agreement. This year's operating call under it is $2,596,020, option year four, and about forty smaller orders have followed since December: a $176,848 chiller overhaul, $32,266 for air handler coils, $4,470 to remove gulls from the roof. Every KCORP award recorded in that period lists Boston as its place of performance.

Federal records show KCORP has worked at the Moakley Courthouse before: a $36,106 order to repair drains and variable refrigerant flow systems on the 10th floor, running from Aug. 17, 2026, through July 28, 2027.

Both orders went to KCORP Technology Services Inc. of 1603 College Road in Fairbanks; together they total roughly $54,600. The firm is registered as an Alaska Native corporation-owned business and an SBA-certified small disadvantaged business, operating within the K'oyitl'ots'ina, Limited corporate family. K'oyitl'ots'ina is the village corporation for Alatna, Allakaket, Hughes and Huslia.
