Fairbanks firm keeps a Boston courthouse warm under a $31.6 million agreement

The General Services Administration has ordered $12,147 in emergency repairs to Boilers 1 and 2 at the John J. Moakley U.S. Courthouse in Boston from KCORP Technology Services, Inc. of Fairbanks. The record does not say what failed.

KCORP is an Alaska Native-owned company owned by four Interior villages: a subsidiary of K'oyitl'ots'ina, Limited, formed when the ANCSA village corporations of Alatna, Allakaket, Hughes and Huslia merged.

The repair is a call against a blanket purchase agreement KCORP has held since 2022 for facilities maintenance there. It has a ceiling of $31.58 million, runs through January 2027, and drew five offers as a small business set-aside.

It is the third order this month, after $30,780 on Aug. 11 for a heat pump and $36,106 on Aug. 17 for drains and a ventilation system. The work runs Sept. 2 through March 1, 2028.
