A Fairbanks man's fourth liquor license reaches the state board Tuesday, with no store attached

Michael Rasmussen has applied to take over a fourth Fairbanks-area alcohol license, adding to financial interests he already holds in three others. The Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office received his application on Aug. 13. The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board takes it up Tuesday, and licensing staff recommend approval.

It would transfer package store license #4597 from Scooters, Inc., doing business as Scooters Liquor, to Rasmussen. Both the current listing and Rasmussen's application show no premises location. The form enters "No Premises" for seller and buyer alike.

Rasmussen disclosed interests in Corner Point Kitchen, a beverage dispensary license, and two package stores, College Wine & Liquor and Just A Store. He would run this one under that name too, his second Just A Store license.

The Fairbanks North Star Borough holds formal protest authority: under state regulation it has 60 days after receiving notice to respond. Any interested person may object in writing within 30 days after AMCO deems the application complete. Objections go to the applicant and to AMCO in Anchorage.
