Written comments due: ADA-07907 Proposal to Extend a State Airport Land Lease at Girdwood Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has issued a public notice regarding a proposed five-year lease extension for Lease ADA-07907 at Girdwood Airport. The lease covers Lot 1, Block 100, which consists of approximately 15,150 square feet. The applicant for this extension is Hangar 3 LLC. The proposed annual rent for the lease is $1,469.55, plus any additional associated fees. The authorized uses for the property include the operation and maintenance of a hangar and storage shed, aircraft storage and repair, and the rental of aircraft tiedowns. The application is being processed under AS 02.15.090(c), which permits the department to grant the extension without a competitive bidding process. The public comment period is open until 4:30 p.m. on November 5, 2026. Interested parties must submit written comments to Thomas Hildreth in the Central Region Aviation Leasing office to be considered for the final decision.
