CourtView goes dark overnight Sunday for maintenance

If you use CourtView to look up an Alaska court case, it'll be down overnight next week. The Alaska Court System is taking public access offline from 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, to 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, for maintenance.

That's the searchable database anyone can use to check a case by name or number, the go-to for people confirming hearing dates or tracking collections. New filings and the courts' internal systems aren't affected, and access comes back Monday morning.

Since the outage runs overnight, most people won't notice. If you need case information during the window, you can call or visit a courthouse during business hours.
