Challenger named Dan Sullivan files against Senator Dan Sullivan

A candidate named Dan Sullivan has filed to challenge incumbent U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan in Alaska's 2026 Senate race.

The challenger launched a campaign website at sullivanforsenate.com. Alaska's nonpartisan top-four primary will place both candidates on the same ballot.

Incumbent Dan Sullivan has represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate since January 2015. He won reelection in 2020 and is running again in 2026.

Alaska uses a nonpartisan primary system for federal races. The top four vote-getters advance to a ranked-choice general election regardless of party. Voters rank candidates in order of preference in November.

The Alaska Division of Elections administers ballot design under state law. The division will determine how to present two candidates with identical names.

The challenger's filing follows Alaska's 2026 candidate filing deadline.
