Bridge inspections close a lane on West Dimond Boulevard in Anchorage

Crews have closed the right lane of westbound W Dimond Boulevard near Carnelian Street for bridge inspections. Alaska 511 says the lane is scheduled to reopen at 6 pm Monday, Oct. 5.

Drivers heading west through that stretch of Anchorage have one less lane for the afternoon.

The closure began at 11:43 am, according to Alaska 511. The road is not fully closed. The listing rates the severity as none and describes the work as an inspection, not a crash response.
