BBNC kicks off shareholder season with a salmon-day picnic

Bristol Bay Native Corporation is heading into its annual meeting season, and it starts the way a lot of Alaska things do — with a picnic. On August 8, shareholders gather at the Arctic Rec Center ball fields in Anchorage for a shareholder picnic timed to Alaska Wild Salmon Day.

From there, BBNC takes the road show across the region and beyond: informational meetings in Kenai, Dillingham, Chignik Bay, Togiak, Kokhanok, Anchorage, New Stuyahok, and Portland, Oregon, running through mid-September.

It all builds toward the October 3 annual meeting in Naknek, where shareholders elect four directors to three-year terms on the 12-member board. Voting can happen in person that day, or online at bbncvote.net ahead of the September 30 proxy deadline — and shareholders who get their proxy in by September 9 are entered for early-bird prizes.
