ATF awards Anchorage firm $198,814 for Huntsville building work
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives awarded Teya Support Services LLC, an Anchorage company, $198,814 for building operations and logistics in Huntsville, Alabama, according to the federal award record on USAspending.gov. The contract runs from Sept. 30, 2026, through Sept. 29, 2027, as an order under Teya's General Services Administration schedule contract, number 47QSMS25D0062.
The record lists Anchorage as the recipient's location but describes no work in Alaska. It does not say how many workers the contract supports or where they live.
Teya's other recent federal work has also fallen outside Alaska. The GSA awarded it $11,935 to repair a chiller at the John Roll Courthouse in Yuma, Arizona. The Interior Department awarded it about $1.5 million for facility maintenance running into June 2027. The Defense Health Agency included Teya in a multiple-award health care environmental cleaning contract vehicle estimated at $4.1 billion across all awardees.
Teya Diversified Services LLC, also based in Anchorage, holds $7.9 million and $6.4 million Customs and Border Protection awards for repair tasks at northern-border land ports of entry, and a $9,975,502 Immigration and Customs Enforcement award for temporary caretaker and post-closing services.
Kevin Berry, speaking about Native corporations broadly rather than Teya at a Commonwealth North panel on the federal 8(a) program in May, said: "So to the extent that these ventures, these contracts are profitable, that's where we see money come into the Alaska economy, into these headquarters of the different corporations." He put Alaska Native regional corporations' work and revenue outside Alaska at an estimated $9 billion. He compared that figure to roughly $1.6 billion for Alaska's 2025 seafood harvest and $10 billion for North Slope oil.
