Anchorage man held without bail after CSAM distribution investigation

An Anchorage man is being held without bail after Task Force Dawnbreaker arrested him Wednesday on probation violations. Investigators say additional charges for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material are expected.

James Oglesby, 29, was taken into custody July 8 and remanded to Anchorage Jail on no bail. The task force opened the investigation into online downloading and distribution of a significant quantity of CSAM in June 2026.

Task Force Dawnbreaker is a partnership between the Alaska Bureau of Investigation Technical Crimes Unit and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations, with support in this case from Anchorage Adult Probation.

All charges are accusations. Oglesby is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
