Anchorage man dies in ATV crash near Knik River
A 42-year-old Anchorage man died after an ATV crash on a trail near Friday Creek in the Knik River area, Alaska State Troopers reported.
Brandon Ilutsik had been riding ahead of two companions when they found him unresponsive and trapped under his ATV, according to the trooper dispatch. Troopers received the report at 2:56 p.m. on May 30.
Lifesaving efforts by his companions, emergency medical services, a medical transport crew, and guides from a local outdoor adventure company were unsuccessful. Ilutsik's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's office.
Troopers notified next of kin. The investigation continues.
