Anchorage fire protection firm wins $14,712 GSA sprinkler job at Connecticut courthouse

An Anchorage fire protection company will replace sprinkler head covers at a federal courthouse in New Haven, Connecticut.

The General Services Administration awarded Yukon Fire Protection Services Inc. $14,712 for the second phase of the work at the Lee Federal Courthouse, according to a federal award record posted to USAspending.gov. The contract runs Sept. 1 through Nov. 30, 2026, and was issued through the agency's Public Buildings Service.

Yukon Fire Protection is headquartered on Laona Drive in Anchorage and is a subsidiary of K Corp. A federal contractor profile lists the firm as registered since July 1998 under the facilities support services classification. The company markets work in oil, pipeline, mining, power generation, data centers and health care facilities, from extinguisher inspections to automatic fire suppression design.

The Connecticut award is one of several the firm holds at federal buildings in the Lower 48. GSA awarded Yukon $7,363 for work on south stairwell ceilings and walls, running Aug. 12 through Oct. 30, 2026. The agency also awarded the firm $33,750 for lightning-damaged parking lot lighting in East St. Louis, Illinois, and $14,381 for exit devices at the Kenneth Gray Federal Building in Benton, Illinois.

Federal procurement rules generally bar geographic preferences in most contracting unless a specific statute allows one. Agencies typically cannot favor in-state vendors on this kind of work.
