Alaska courts require TrueFiling for CINA cases starting August 17

Child welfare attorneys and others filing Child in Need of Aid cases across Alaska will be required to use TrueFiling for electronic filing starting August 17, 2026. The Alaska Court System published the deadline on its eFiling page, marking the date when all court locations statewide move away from the current patchwork of email, fax, and ZendTo filing guidance for those case types.

"All lawyers registered with the Alaska bar must use TrueFiling," the court system said. How self-represented litigants or agencies without regular TrueFiling access will be handled during and after the transition has not been addressed.

Training dates remain unset. "Additional information, including filer training dates will be announced soon," the court system said. Probate case types are planned to move to TrueFiling by the end of 2026, but no specific date has been set.
