Good afternoon, everybody. I'd like to go ahead and call the Senate Budget Subcommittee on the Department of Family and Community Service to order. The time is 12:15 and a half, April 17th, 2025. I'm joined today by Senator Giesel. Senator Gray Jackson is online.

Senator Kaufman, myself, Steadman. We have one item Today, that's the final meeting of the subcommittee. Senator Giesel, do you have a motion? Mr. Chairman, I move the attached budget action and wordage report from the Senate Budget Subcommittee for the Department of Family and Community Services. I further order— move, pardon me— I further move that the subcommittee authorize legislative finance and legislative legal to make any technical and conforming changes as necessary.

I'll go ahead and object for discussion. I'd like staff, Rose Foley, if she can come forward and go over the BA report for the subcommittee, please.

Thank you, Mr. Chair. Rose Foley, staff to Senator Steadman. The Senate Budget Subcommittee for the Department of Family and Community Services submits the following numbers section recommendations for the fiscal year '27 budget. A total budget of $515,268,700.

Of this total, $290,578,500 is unrestricted general funds.

$31,761,800 Are designated general funds. $106,282,500 Are other funds. Finally, federal funds make up $86,545,900. The subcommittee recommends a total of 1,971 positions, including 1,867 permanent full-time positions, 5 permanent part-time positions, and 99 temporary positions. The subcommittee reviewed the governor's amended request and approved all requested transactions.

Notable items approved include the implementation of the information technology classification study throughout the department.

And the reduction of holla receipt authority across multiple budget allocations. The only addition to the numbers section of the Department of Family and Community Services was an increment of $1.5 million to support child advocacy centers around the state. The subcommittee also added language permitting the transfer of up to $5 million between appropriations within the department, with the exception that no transfers may be made out of the Office of Children's Services. I'll go ahead and remove my objection for the adoption. Do we have any other objections for the adoption?
