Metlakatla edible-only landscaping rule reshapes public plantings

A Metlakatla tribal council resolution requiring all beautification projects to be edible has driven the planting of 50 fruit trees and berry bushes across public spaces, backed by a three-year $105,244 U.S. Forest Service grant.
