These operations carry risk already when operating in the yard environment, but are increasingly being used on mainline track and rail sidings, which invites unacceptable dangers across all modes, including those subject to this subcommittee and the full committee. The Teamsters Union continues to support strong prescriptive regulations where warranted. Innovation, regulation, and the workforce need not be in conflict with each other., and we commit to working with the committee and the subcommittee to that effect.
