“the implications of the method changes that the stock assessment authors are now moving forward to you from this year's plan team meetings would indicate that the biomass in 2005 to 2015 was actually half of of what it was estimated to be during that time. That would be a huge overestimation and does not ground truth what those of us who were fishing then saw on the grounds.”

We are filling those out, those are being sent in. We even have vessels that are using electronic versions of those logbooks, Somehow we have to make sure that data is being used. Our other big concern, and I also included graphs in our written comments to illustrate this from the plan team presentation, but that the implications of the method changes that the stock assessment authors are now moving forward to you from this year's plan team meetings would indicate that the biomass in 2005 to 2015 was actually half of of what it was estimated to be during that time. That would be a huge overestimation and does not ground truth what those of us who were fishing then saw on the grounds. Fishing wasn't as good then as it is now, but it wasn't that bad.
