We're going to focus on that, and in particular in this part 2 section, I'll highlight some context around the Aleutian Island Habitat Conservation Area, as well as current use and requirements of salmon excluders. For part 3 of the presentations, we have Dr. Jodi Prittle with NMFS to talk about federal requirements and process for assessing essential fish habitat, and Dr. Brad Harris with the APU FAST Lab to talk about fishing effects model as an input to that federal fishing effects review process. Under Part 4 of the presentation, State of the Technology, we have Dr. Brad Harris to provide additional information on current and ongoing developments to improve the fishing effects model through the Gear Innovation Initiative, and Dr. Noel Yoakum and Shannon Carroll with Trident Seafoods, they're participating in research with an exempted fishing permit This is similar to a commissioner's permit through the, through state fisheries. It's an authorization issued by NOAA that allows for experimental fishing practices or gear design that would otherwise be prohibited under regulations. So they have some context on their FEP work to minimize bottom contact through changes in gear design, as well as context on bottom contact sensor technology.
