I'm a lifelong Alaskan. I'm a Dena'ina Athabascan out of Bristol Bay. My hometown is Naknek, the home of the greatest sockeye salmon run in the world. I grew up in a little village called Kaukenok, just over 100 people, true bush frontier upbringing. Raising sled dog teams, chopping wood, packing water, taking mukkays, using nugrik, hunting, fishing, trapping, picking berries to put food on the table.
