"I praise you for taking it on, but also I praise you that when Mrs. Wackler and others, but particularly said, wait, wait, wait, You responded so well, okay? You could have said, no, I'm doing this, and, and, and with all kinds of justification. But again, the, the attitude that you showed tonight on asking us to defeat this was exactly what good government is supposed to do, that we as human beings need to treat each each other with decency and kindness, as compared to, I've got a law, and if you don't do this, I'm going to do something to you, I'll fine you."

That's a difficult thing to take on. And I want to— I praise you for taking it on, but also I praise you that when Mrs. Wackler and others, but particularly said, wait, wait, wait, You responded so well, okay? You could have said, no, I'm doing this, and, and, and with all kinds of justification. So I just want to— I want to praise you and all the city staff for all they do.
