From the transcript

We must now engage our great American capabilities to revitalize and adapt to meet our longstanding legal and moral obligations to the American people. Today, our U.S. electricity demand is rapidly rising, and this makes sustaining nuclear energy expansion more important than ever. This growth creates an opportunity to break America's longstanding stalemate over the permanent disposal of our used nuclear fuel. Growing state interest in an integrated nuclear fuel cycle and disposal projects offers Congress an opportunity that can advance our nuclear waste management disposal policy help fuel our next generation of nuclear reactors, and strengthen the U.S. nuclear industrial base all at the same time. The American Nuclear Society supports DOE's Nuclear Lifecycle Innovation— Innovation Campus initiative.
