From the transcript
If this CUP is approved, investors may want to buy and use those vacant properties as investments for Airbnbs, and families will lose the opportunity to buy or rent these properties. This CUP is not in harmony with Goal 1. The finding on Criteria 1 is erroneous because the business operation of an Airbnb by non-resident investors will violate the residential character of the environment of our Part 1 neighborhood especially Ash Avenue. The findings on criteria 1, 2, and 3 are erroneous because the findings never weigh an Airbnb as a new business land use of a single-family dwelling by non-resident investors compared to its value in, in the current use by homeowners and their families as part of a neighborhood.
