But it's very important that all those user groups have fair representation, and I've been concerned in recent years that we have lost balance on the Board of Fish and I'm very committed as governor to nominate Alaskans, qualified Alaskans, to serve on the board from all those user groups to make sure that there is fair and equal balance across those user groups. I also think it's important that there's geographic diversity on the Board of Fish, and as someone from Southeast Alaska, there was a window of time where Southeast Alaska did not have representation on the Board of Fish. It's an incredibly fisheries-dependent region. And it's not just Southeast Alaska. I think it's important that the governor take into account geographic balance across the state of Alaska and across user groups.
