The City of Utqiagvik's council webpage lists two rosters for the same six seats, with different names for four of them.

The first roster on the City Council page names Mayor Asisaun Toovak, Frances JakyLou Olemaun (Seat A), Kristin Gutierrez-Edwards (Seat B), Craig Moore Jr. (Seat C), Martina Hopson (Seat D), Heather Hopson (Seat E) and Sarah Tua'i (Seat F). That roster matches next week's agenda.

A second roster, lower on the same page, names Justina Wilhelm (Seat A), Kuutuuq Olemaun (Seat C), Frieda Kaleak (Seat E) and Megan Edwardson (Seat F). Its listed terms end in 2023 for Seats E and F, 2024 for Seats C and D, and 2025 for Seats A and B.

On the first roster, the Seat E and Seat F terms end this month. The city's Notice of General Election set an Oct. 6 vote for both seats, each for a three-year term. Official results, posted Oct. 14, give Seat F to Tua'i, with 706 of 752 votes. Seat E was a write-in race. Heather Hopson led with 162 of 410 votes. Write-in candidates with three or fewer votes each drew 170 votes, or 41% of the total.

The council holds workshop sessions Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:30 am in Anchorage. Tuesday's agenda covers the Open Meetings Act, council roles and 2026 strategic planning. Wednesday's covers strategic planning.
