UIC Oil & Gas Support announced Wednesday it named Paul Patkotak and Jake Bellinger operations managers at its Deadhorse shop. The shop runs year-round, and the two will work opposite rotations so an experienced manager is always on site, General Manager Joe Barron said.

The company moves freight, equipment and people across the tundra year-round, builds and maintains snow trails and runs heavy haul trucking on the Prudhoe Bay road system. Its clients include oil and gas operators, telecom companies, village and borough governments and state agencies.

Patkotak has worked at the company for more than three years. He hauled winter freight in tracked snow vehicles from Deadhorse to most North Slope villages and helped establish and maintain the Community Winter Access Trail.

Bellinger, who was raised in Cooper Landing, joined in July after 20 years in North Slope logistics, most recently as shop foreman for Conam Construction.

Barron said the company has expanded its team, including the new rotational role. UIC Oil & Gas Support is a subsidiary of UIC Commercial Services, a division of Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation.
