TEMSCO gets $23,368 Interior order for on-call helicopter flights on Prince of Wales Island
TEMSCO Helicopters of Ketchikan will fly on call for the Agriculture Department on Prince of Wales Island through Feb. 28, 2027, under a $23,368 delivery order an Interior Department contracting office obligated Oct. 20. The order covers fall and winter flights in the island's Deerbay area.
Interior closed out two older helicopter orders Friday. It took back $1,560 from a TEMSCO order that covered National Park Service fire, search-and-rescue and vegetation monitoring missions in Denali National Park from June 18 to Aug. 16. That order kept $2,040.
It also took back $34,894 in excess funds from Maritime Helicopters of Homer, whose order supported a U.S. Geological Survey study of mineral deposits in the Kuskokwim region, with Kongiganak listed as the place of performance. That order ran April 17 to July 7 and kept $161,102.
The federal figures show money obligated, not spent.
