SSA sends $39,602 in Queens chiller work to Alaska's KCORP Reliance

Two Social Security Administration orders totaling $39,602 will pay Wasilla-based KCORP Reliance to service chillers at a Queens federal building, under an operations and maintenance contract it already holds. That contract has obligated $17.9 million against a $53.8 million ceiling for the one building.

The larger order, $26,293, covers refrigerant charging, system startup and operational verification of Chiller No. 2; the second, $13,309, covers the same work on Chiller No. 4, listed as materials. Both run from Sept. 4 through Dec. 10. Both were competed; the contract was a small business set-aside with four offers.

The site is the Joseph P. Addabbo Federal Building on Jamaica Avenue, home to SSA's Northeastern Program Service Center. That center serves roughly 9.4 million retirement, survivor and disability beneficiaries, who receive $15.3 billion in benefits monthly.

KCORP Reliance also holds $4.19 million and $5.49 million GSA contracts at San Diego-area land ports of entry. Its parent, K Corp, is K'oyitl'ots'ina, Limited, owned by the Koyukuk River villages of Alatna, Allakaket, Hughes and Huslia.
