Railbelt Transmission Organization sets three closed subcommittee meetings

The Railbelt Transmission Organization will hold three closed subcommittee meetings next week.

The Technical Subcommittee meets Wednesday, June 10, at 8 a.m., followed by the Tariff Subcommittee at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, and the Finance Subcommittee at 3 p.m. the same day. All three will be conducted via Teams teleconference at the Alaska Energy Authority office at 813 West Northern Lights Blvd. in Anchorage.

None of the meetings will be open to the public. RTO bylaws exempt subcommittee meetings from the open-meeting provisions that apply to the organization's Governance Committee.

The subcommittees can only advise or make recommendations to the Governance Committee. They cannot establish policies or make binding decisions for the RTO.

The Alaska Energy Authority maintains an RTO archive with agendas, audio, and minutes on its website. Governance Committee meetings remain open to the public.

The Railbelt Transmission Organization is a division of the Alaska Energy Authority that manages transmission infrastructure across Alaska's largest electrical grid.
