North Slope gas pipeline rates face RCA review; comment deadline is July 21

Oliktok Pipeline Company filed revised gas transportation rates with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska on July 1, proposing increases on North Slope pipeline segments effective August 1, 2026. The filing is a revenue requirement study based on a 2025 test year and proposes rates higher than current levels for Prudhoe Bay Unit shipments to key North Slope destinations.

Oliktok operates the Oliktok Gas Pipeline serving ConocoPhillips Alaska's North Slope gas movements. The tariff sets transportation costs in the Prudhoe Bay and Kuparuk River Unit area. If the commission suspends the filing, Oliktok has asked that the proposed rates be approved on a temporary and refundable basis in the meantime.

Members of the public, shippers, and other interested parties may submit written comments by 5 p.m. on July 21, 2026. Comments may be filed through the RCA website at rca.alaska.gov or submitted in writing to the commission's Anchorage office at 701 West Eighth Avenue, Suite 300.
