North Slope Borough is taking public comment on its village comprehensive plans
The North Slope Borough Planning Department is collecting public comments on its Comprehensive Plan, which covers the borough's eight villages. Commenters choose the village their comment is about: Anaktuvuk Pass, Atqasuk, Utqiagvik, Kaktovik, Nuiqsut, Point Hope, Point Lay or Wainwright.
The comprehensive plan informs the borough's six-year capital plan, Mayor Josiah Patkotak told the North Slope Borough Assembly at its Oct. 13 meeting. He described that capital plan as $1.5 billion.
Comments can be sent through the borough's Comprehensive Plan Comment page, or by mail or hand delivery. The page lists no deadline.
