The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council is offering $2,000 for a new logo design to replace the one it's used since the mid-1980s. Submissions are due 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
The council announced the open call May 6. The winning designer gets the cash award. Three runners-up will each receive $150. The new logo will be unveiled in August and used across digital platforms, printed materials, signage, and merchandise.
John Fehringer designed the current logo, which has been in use with variations since the mid-1980s.
The Juneau Arts & Humanities Council, incorporated in 1973, operates the Juneau Arts & Culture Center and Centennial Hall under agreements with the City and Borough of Juneau. The council serves as Juneau's official arts and humanities agency.
