About this event
World premiere of the first Tlingit opera in recorded history, performed entirely in the Tlingit language with a score grounded in Tlingit musical and performing arts traditions. The opera tells the story of the Tlingit-Russian War (1802-1804) from the Tlingit perspective. Performances run Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons through September 20.
