Public Objection Period for Anchorage Bowl Marijuana License Renewal

About this event

The Alaska Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) has deemed the renewal application for Anchorage Bowl, LLC (License #12316) complete. The business, a retail marijuana store located at 4000 Spenard Road, is now undergoing the standard renewal process for the 2026/2027 licensing period. The application has been forwarded to the Municipality of Anchorage and the Spenard Community Council for review. Under state regulations, the local government has 60 days to file a protest against the renewal. While the AMCO Director has delegated authority to approve renewals, the Marijuana Control Board must independently consider the application if there are outstanding notices of violation, a local government protest, or a public objection filed within 30 days of this notice. If the application proceeds without protest or objection, the license will be issued following an annual inspection or via mail if an inspection is deemed unnecessary. In cases where a protest or violation exists, the board will review the matter, and a temporary license may be issued in the interim.
