Public Comment Period: Fairbanks-Delta Timber Sales PBIFs and FLUPs

The Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection (DFFP) has released three Preliminary Best Interest Findings (PBIFs) and three draft Forest Land Use Plans (FLUPs) regarding proposed timber sales in the Fairbanks-Delta region. These documents are intended to facilitate commercial sawtimber and fuelwood contracts. The agency is soliciting public feedback on these six decision documents, which were prepared in accordance with Alaska Statutes AS 38.05.035(e) and AS 38.05.112. Interested parties can access detailed maps and draft documents via the DFFP website. Written comments must be submitted to Andrew Allaby at the Fairbanks-Delta Area Forestry office. The deadline for receipt of comments is 4:30 p.m. AKST on Friday, November 6, 2026.
