# 2026 Fun with 5x6x7 When: Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM AKDT – Saturday, October 31, 2026 Where: HCOA, 355 West Pioneer Avenue, AK, AK, United States What: 2026 Fun with 5x6x7 Call for Art Call For Art! It’s time again for HCOA’s annual 5X7 show.  For the past 8 years, the Fun with 5x6x7 show has been an invitation for artists and community members to experiment or try something new. There are no prompts or subjects and is open to all mediums, so artists can follow their own inspiration. This show is open to all ages and abilities, and we invite everyone in our community to take a chance and create something. Each artist may submit up to 6 works. Size Details: True to the original goals of the show, we encourage artists to experiment with shape and dimension, exploring the dimensions of 5x6x7. Artist can experiment with squares, ovals, circles, 3D sculpture, cubes, and more. Each dimensions of work must be 5 in., 6in., or 7 in.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact the HCOA at 907-235-4288. Participation Guidelines: All work must be true to the spirit of 5x6x7 or smaller. *Small/thin frames are acceptable but must not add significantly to the size; i.e., no 8×10″ frames matted to 5×7″. All entries must be for sale. HCOA takes a 40% commission on sold works (35% for HCOA members). Maximum 6 pieces per artist. Completed online submission form required for artwork to be shown. Works should have been created within the last 2 years and not previously shown in a gallery. Artworks must be ready for gallery display. Stretched canvases do not need wire. Framed artworks and items on canvas board, panel, wood, etc must have wire or hooks on the back for hanging. We reserve the right to reject entries that do not meet gallery standards or adhere to the guidelines. Artwork by all ages is accepted. Important Dates: Submission Open: August 15th – October 31st at 6:00pm In Take Window: Drop off your work, ready to hang, to the HCOA office between October 6th and 31st. All work must be turned in to the HCOA office by 6:00pm on Saturday, October 31st. (Work turned in late may not be shown) Join us on November 6th for the First Friday opening reception from 5-7 pm Submit Here!Not sure where to begin?
