Cook Inlet Tribal Council wants input on next winter's heating help

Cook Inlet Tribal Council is taking public comment on how it plans to run its home heating assistance program next year — the money that helps low-income households cover fuel and utility bills through an Alaska winter.

The council is asking tribal citizens, people who have used the program, partner organizations, and anyone else to look over its draft plan for the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program in fiscal year 2027.

Comments open July 24 and close Aug. 24, though CITC would like them by Aug. 14 to leave time to work them in. Responses go through an online survey, by email to [email protected], or by mail to 3600 San Jeronimo Dr. in Anchorage.
