Bethel will offer free Bethel Transit System rides Tuesday, Nov. 3, to and from the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center, where voters in Precincts 1 and 2 will cast ballots in the general election.

The city announced the free rides Monday. Voters from both precincts will vote at the Cultural Center, 420 Chief Eddie Hoffman Highway, as they did in last month's city election. Polls there, as across Alaska, are open 7 am to 8 pm.

The posted bus schedule ends before the polls close. The city's transit page shows weekday service from 6:30 am to 6:15 pm, with the last stop at the Cultural Center at 6 pm.

The transit system also offers paratransit rides for people whose disability keeps them from using regular buses.

Tuesday's ballot includes races for governor and lieutenant governor, U.S. House, U.S. Senate and the Legislature, plus judicial retention questions and two statewide ballot measures, according to a state election fact sheet. Voters can look up their polling place on the state's My Voter Portal.
