The Anchorage firm stripping tile in Ocala holds a $25 million sole-source deal on nine Florida buildings

Katmai Integrated Solutions, an Anchorage company owned by Ouzinkie Native Corporation, will remove asbestos floor tile and carpet from a federal courthouse in Ocala, Florida, this fall under a $6,598 order. The General Services Administration awarded it through its Public Buildings Service. Federal award records identify the contract as 47PE5526F0661. The performance period runs Sept. 2 through Dec. 1, 2026.

That order is one call against a far larger arrangement: a $24.9 million blanket purchase agreement covering nine federal buildings in Tampa, Jacksonville, Orlando, Ocala and Fort Myers, running to May 2028. The record marks it an 8(a) sole-source award that drew a single offer. Katmai's contracting page calls the firm an Alaska Native Corporation with SBA 8(a)-certified subsidiaries that carry procurement advantages with the federal government.

Katmai Integrated Solutions is headquartered on O'Malley Centre Drive in Anchorage and is "100% owned by Ouzinkie Native Corporation." Ouzinkie is a village corporation formed in 1973 for Alutiiq shareholders from Ouzinkie, on Spruce Island near Kodiak. It began with 339 shareholders and has about 527.

Of $207 million in federal contract actions to the firm, $100 million is recorded in Florida across 120 orders. Alaska accounts for $9.5 million.

A Commonwealth North review found the 12 Alaska Native regional corporations reported $13.5 billion in 2022 revenue, about two-thirds earned outside Alaska, and distributed $300 million to $350 million a year in dividends, elder benefits and scholarships. Those are regional corporations, a different tier from Ouzinkie, and the figures cover all corporate revenue, not Katmai's contracts alone.
