An outside group has spent $3.77 million on Alaska's Senate race

Americans for Prosperity Action has spent $3.77 million on Alaska's U.S. Senate race this cycle — $2.62 million supporting Sen. Dan Sullivan and $1.15 million opposing Mary Peltola.

More than half of it has come since Sept. 1, with the most recent expenditure dated Sept. 18.

The group's Alaska committee, which also does business as Concerned Veterans for America Action - Alaska, is registered with the Alaska Public Offices Commission as an independent expenditure group for the 2026 state general election. It filed an amendment Monday updating its chair and committee name. Independent expenditure groups can raise unlimited money, as long as they spend it without coordinating with a candidate's campaign.

The affiliated federal committee has reported $93.8 million in receipts this cycle to the Federal Election Commission and just over $31 million in independent expenditures nationwide. Alaska accounts for roughly 12 percent of that.

The Alaska committee lists Kevin Greene as chair and Margee Clancy as treasurer, both at the same Virginia phone number, with an Anchorage address on Toloff Street.
