Aleut Mechanical adds Southcentral clients, Palmer job unconfirmed

Aleut Mechanical, a subsidiary of The Aleut Corporation, says it has secured Southcentral Alaska work for the State of Alaska, the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, the Association of Village Council Presidents and Holland America Princess, and is advancing on the Palmer Courthouse Expansion, according to a subsidiary update from the corporation. The Alaska Court System's Invitation to Bid, issued April 24, does not name a winning contractor, so the update does not establish that Aleut Mechanical secured the $4.95 million project.

The four-phase renovation at 435 S. Denali St. in Palmer serves the Mat-Su Borough, Alaska's fastest-growing, and will add detention and jury spaces, expanded courtrooms and offices. On-site work was required to begin no later than Aug. 15, with invoicing due before June 30, 2027.

The subsidiary cites continued demand for heating, plumbing and repair work and is expanding into Anchorage after meeting its targets early. The corporation earlier credited the subsidiary's work at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson as key to its 2025 results.
