Alaska House schedules June 10 technical session

The Alaska House of Representatives adjourned Thursday after a floor session that lasted only minutes, scheduling a technical session for June 10 at 11 a.m.

The clerk noted Representatives Hannon Johnson and Speaker Bryce Edgmon as present. The House conducted no legislative business during the brief session. The Majority Leader moved to adjourn until the June 10 technical session, and the motion carried without objection.

A technical session typically handles procedural matters rather than substantive legislation.

The Alaska State Legislature adjourned its 2026 regular session on May 20, so the June 10 meeting will occur after the regular-session calendar. Technical sessions allow the body to address administrative tasks without reconvening for full floor action.

The House will reconvene Wednesday morning for the scheduled technical session.
